Electronics Technician (ET)
Job Summary
We are seeking an Electronics Technician to support and maintain control, automation, and communication systems aboard a drillship or offshore platform, ensuring safe and efficient operations in a challenging offshore environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair navigation systems, communications equipment, sensors, PLCs, and other electronic control systems tied into the vessel and drilling package.
- Collaborate closely with electrical and technical teams to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure continuous operation of automation and monitoring systems.
- Support the reliable operation of critical electronic equipment to keep drilling and marine operations online and safe.
- Work in accordance with safety standards and regulations, including offshore medical requirements and certifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting control, automation, and communication systems in an offshore environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with modern electronic control systems.
- Valid offshore medical certification and relevant safety training (CompEx Certificate, THUET / BOSIET / FOET, RigPass / SafeGulf, TWIC, Government Issued ID).
- Knowledge of offshore operations and safety protocols.
