Job Summary
This job role is responsible for the daily maintenance and stability of the DP system.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of awareness to all operations and power systems
- Complete all logs, forms, and check sheet in an efficient manner
- Assist in the training of an assistant DPO
- Operate the manual DP controls when needed
- Troubleshoot the DP system when needed
Requirements
- Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (STCW II/1 OOW Unlimited)
- Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI/3)
- USCG Merchant Mariners Credential (MMC)
- GMDSS General Operator’s Certificate/FCC Radio Operator’s License
- DP Operator’s Certificate – Unlimited (Nautical Institute)
- Transport Workers ID Credential (TWIC)
- USCG Merchant Mariner Medical
- IADC Well Control Introductory
- STCW Basic Safety Training
- Vessel Personnel w/ Designated Security Duties (VPDSD)
- Water Survival/T-HUET
