Lead Maintenance Engineer Description
We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer to identify maintenance and facility initiatives and set standards that will apply to the two-shift maintenance operation. The ideal candidate will lead and motivate staff to reach their productivity goals in a fair and balanced environment.
- Assist in the development of preventative maintenance, and repairs programs/processes on equipment for buildings, grounds, and equipment in the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC)/Parts Distribution Center (PDC)
- Analyze complex operational problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective courses of action
- Assist with the planning, organizing, coordination, administrating and supervision of the efficient operation of the buildings throughout the facilities
- Maintain current maintenance parts inventory of equipment compiles stock control records; and prepare requisitions, orders, or others for purchasing new or additional parts
- Maintain the team’s daily safe work practices and regulatory compliance/standards
- Some Project Management
Lead Maintenance Engineer Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED require
- 5 years related experience in a Maintenance position
- Texas Maintenance Electrician License (for the PDC, a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Operator D Water License) or the equivalent combination of certifications and/or experience
- Stationery Engineer License is preferred
- Experience as a Lead Position in a facility or building (Power Plant/HVAC)
- Knowledgeable of the operation of boilers, Generators, Pumps, Compressors, water treatment
- Knowledgeable with the Electrical Distribution System and Emergency Power Generation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)
