Mining Operations Supervisor – Autonomous Systems

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, manage, and evaluate maintenance operations related to autonomous haulage systems, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Supervise through Senior Supervisors, establishing tactical and strategic goals, policies, and procedures within the maintenance area.
- Direct daily operations, inspect ongoing projects, and ensure work meets quality standards.
- Provide administrative and technical guidance to staff, interpret policies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Forecast staffing, materials, supplies, and capital project needs; develop and monitor budgets.
- Coordinate work plans for maintenance projects, including project management, cost estimates, and program development.
- Collaborate with other departments and site officials, providing information and resources as required.
- Review and recommend improvements to infrastructure, facilities, and operating systems.
- Coordinate activities with consultants and contractors to ensure project success.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED with at least 7 years of related operational experience, including supervisory or management roles, OR a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications or licensure pertinent to mine maintenance or autonomous systems may be required.
- Proven ability to supervise, evaluate, train, and motivate staff effectively.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and management skills across multiple operational areas and projects.
- Experience in budget development, monitoring, and administration.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety protocols, and hazard recognition.
- Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment, including exposure to extreme temperatures, moving machinery, chemicals, and other hazards typical of mining or manufacturing settings.
