Project Estimator Description
We are seeking a Project Estimator to assess the costs associated with industrial manufacturing projects, ensuring that they align with client requirements and company profitability goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing projects and contributing to the growth of the company. The Project Estimator will collaborate with various teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to ensure accurate and competitive project cost estimates.
- Review project proposals and plans and develop project objectives
- Study product design, customer requirements, and performance standards to determine project specifications
- Conduct meetings with clients to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements
- Complete technical studies and prepare cost estimates
- Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements
- Monitor project progress, coordinate with outside salesman, and resolve problems to maintain project schedule
- Review design, specifications, and plan, schedule changes, and recommend actions to control project plan
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Project Estimator Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of field and project experience
- Control Valve & Actuator knowledge is a plus
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software
- Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Office 365
- Familiar with manufacturing methods and procedures
- Able to interpret Mechanical Plans and Specifications
