Technical Superintendent / Port Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, and technical performance of assigned vessels.
- Plan and manage drydock periods, major repairs, and capital projects.
- Ensure vessels meet class, flag state, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and control maintenance budgets and technical costs.
- Coordinate with shipyards, vendors, and classification societies to facilitate repairs and inspections.
- Review technical reports, defect lists, and root cause analyses to identify and resolve issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to onboard engineering teams to optimize vessel performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–10+ years of experience in vessel technical management or port engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of marine propulsion, auxiliary systems, and maintenance practices.
- Proven experience managing shipyard repairs and drydock projects.
- Excellent technical documentation, communication, and leadership skills.
