Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of vessel engineering systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Support the engineering team in safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and safety drills.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions.
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements, including STCW and USCG standards.
- Participate in safety training and drills, including water survival and fire fighting exercises.
- Support vessel security duties and ensure compliance with security protocols.
Requirements
- Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch (STCW III/1 OOW Unlimited)
- Advanced Fire Fighting
- Flag State License (Maritime Authority)
- Transport Workers ID Credential (TWIC)
- USCG Merchant Mariner Medical
- STCW Basic Safety Training
- T-HUET w/CAEBS
- Rigger Safety (4hr)
- Rigpass/Safegulf
