Job Summary
This pivotal role involves overseeing multiple semi-custom, high-performance boat builds, requiring hands-on expertise in boat and shipbuilding, particularly in composite manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities across multiple boat builds, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Coordinate schedules, labor, and resources to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Drive operational efficiency in hull, deck, modules, and final assembly processes.
- Support and lead shop floor teams to uphold safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Collaborate with executive and technical leadership to execute builds according to specifications and standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in semi-custom boat building or high-performance marine manufacturing.
- Deep hands-on experience with composite lamination techniques such as pre-preg, infusion, wet bagging, and open lamination.
- Proficiency with epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester resins, with Duratek experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead production teams within a composite manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in production planning and scheduling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred education includes a relevant technical or engineering degree, with extensive experience in semi-custom or custom boat builds.
- Additional requirements may include travel and industry-specific certifications.
