Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO)
We're looking for an experienced Dynamic Positioning Operator for a hitch onboard a deepwater offshore drillship operating in the Gulf. Previous drillship experience is required.
This role is responsible for maintaining the vessel's position during drilling operations, running DP watches, monitoring weather and environmental conditions, and ensuring the safe operation of the DP system at all times. You'll work closely with the bridge team, drilling department, and engine room to support uninterrupted drilling operations while maintaining compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Candidates should be comfortable operating Kongsberg DP systems, conducting pre-DP checks, participating in FMEA drills, troubleshooting DP-related alarms, maintaining accurate logs, and supporting cargo operations, vessel moves, and emergency response when required. Strong situational awareness, communication, and decision-making skills are essential.

- DP Unlimited Certificate
- USCG MMC
- STCW Compliant USCG Medical Certificate
- Foreign Flag License
- BOSIET / FOET / THUET
- RigPass or SafeGulf
- TWIC
- US Passport or government-issued ID
We're looking for someone who can step onboard with minimal onboarding, integrate quickly with the bridge team, and confidently support 24/7 DP drilling operations.
