Dredging & Marine Construction Project Manager
Job Summary
This pivotal role involves overseeing project execution from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in marine environments. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, you will coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve project success while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety audits and submit detailed reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
- Prepare and submit submittals for client review and approval.
- Develop and submit accurate billing statements to clients.
- Create and manage field crew schedules to meet project timelines.
- Provide hands-on management and oversight at project sites to ensure smooth operations and adherence to plans.
- Review and approve invoices related to project expenses.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports to clients.
- Develop and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project or Excel to ensure on-time completion.
- Organize and coordinate equipment, vendors, and materials throughout all project phases, including mobilization and demobilization.
- Manage projects specifically in dredging operations, including hydraulic dredging and marine construction, addressing the unique challenges of marine environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management within dredging, marine construction, or related industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel for scheduling and planning.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience conducting safety audits.
- Experience in submittals, billing, and invoicing processes.
- Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with field crews and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel to Houston, TX, and other project sites as required.
