Electrician – Level 4/5 (Night Shift)
Job Summary
Our client, a leading aerospace company, is hiring a senior-level Electrician to install, maintain, and repair the electrical and electronic systems that keep a busy production and launch support site running. This night shift role covers everything from plant electrical subsystems and machinery controls to hydraulic and pneumatic device electronics. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, licensed electrician who works confidently from drawings and schematics, holds a strong command of electrical codes and standards, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly. Schedule flexibility is important, as frequent overtime and weekend support may be required based on site operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Repair and replace defective parts in electrical fixtures.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic components on machinery and equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair on field, plant, and shop electrical and electronic systems, devices, and components.
- Install enhancements and major upgrades to plant electrical subsystems.
- Work from instructions using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Test electrical circuits to verify proper operation.
- Install electrical components to architectural and code specifications.
- Check wiring connections using test equipment such as volt/ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
- Take on other related duties as assigned to support an efficient, effective work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience with electrical systems.
- Journeyman or NCCER industrial license.
- Flexibility to work a varying schedule with frequent overtime and weekend support as site needs dictate.
- Physically able to stand, kneel, crouch, twist, work in cramped positions and small openings, climb hand over hand, lift up to 25 lbs, and work on ladders and lifts at elevated heights.
- Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to fumes, odors, and noise.
- Able to shift roles and responsibilities quickly in a high-paced, challenging setting.
