  • Assemble and wire industrial control panels to NFPA 79, NEC, and UL 508A, and install power system controls per NFPA 70/70B/70E, NESC, and IEEE standards
  • Perform high-pressure hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, and resolve urgent issues during startup or production use
  • Redline, update, and troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic schematics using EPLAN or similar tools
  • Read drawings, data sheets, BOMs, and engineering sketches, and keep SCADA and as-built documentation up to date
  • Support controls upgrades, commissioning, testing, turnover, and training as systems expand
  • Provide engineers with practical operations and maintenance feedback on system designs
  • Write concise work instructions from drawings and requirements
  • Support scopes of work and oversee contractor activities to keep projects moving
  • Train and mentor junior technicians
  • Plan and complete weekly work with minimal disruption to running systems

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining instrumentation, automation, or control systems
  • 1+ years using mechanical and/or electronic hand tools, including working from schematics on piping, valves, sensors, or control wiring
  • Ability to read electrical one-line drawings, AC/DC schematics, and bills of materials
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or on a team under tight deadlines

Preferred Requirements

  • 3+ years in industrial instrumentation, automation, controls, or fluid systems
  • Experience fabricating and troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and complex fluid/mechanical systems

  • Certifications such as ISA CCST, NICET, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, or Siemens
  • Experience with SEL, Allen-Bradley, and Siemens control devices
  • HMI development experience in Ignition and experience deploying and troubleshooting server/client SCADA applications
  • IEC 61131 programming experience (ladder logic, structured text) and basic network configuration
  • IT/OT network troubleshooting experience
  • Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, IEEE C37.111, and IEEE C37.115
