IT Project Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic IT Project Manager to lead our most complex, high-impact, and large-scale technology initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, IT management, vendors, and service providers. Your expertise will ensure the successful delivery of projects that drive measurable business value, aligning technical execution with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of complex IT projects, including cloud migrations, ERP implementations, and infrastructure overhauls.
- Develop detailed project plans, define scope, and establish clear objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and communicate project progress effectively.
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks and issues proactively.
- Oversee project budgets, financials, and vendor/contract management.
- Ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to project management methodologies.
- Mentor team members and promote best practices in project execution.
- Incorporate AI and data-driven insights into project management and decision-making processes.
- Facilitate change management and enable organizational transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing enterprise-level IT projects, preferably in regulated industries such as defense or government contracting.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ServiceNow PPM).
- Expert knowledge of multiple project management methodologies, including PMP certification.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Advanced strategic thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities, with experience leveraging AI/ML insights.
- Financial acumen with experience managing complex budgets.
- Experience working with outsourced partners and managed service providers.
- Familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals, lifecycle management, and cloud AI ecosystems (AWS SageMaker, Azure AI).
- Knowledge of DevOps or MLOps frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience leading cloud migration or digital transformation projects.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity while establishing appropriate structure.
- Preferred: experience in shipbuilding or manufacturing industries, familiarity with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management, and AI-powered project management tools.
