Offshore Mechanic | Offshore Drilling
We’re looking for an experienced Offshore Mechanic to join a deepwater drilling unit in the Gulf for a temporary hitch. This position will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems throughout the rig.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, valves, piping, and other rig equipment.
- Support maintenance and repairs of drilling-related and auxiliary machinery.
- Perform equipment inspections and identify mechanical issues before they affect operations.
- Complete maintenance activities in accordance with the rig’s planned maintenance system.
- Assist with equipment overhauls, component replacement, alignment, and general mechanical repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow LOTO, permit-to-work, JSA, and other established safety procedures.
- Participate in emergency drills and maintain safe, clean work areas.
Requirements:
- Previous offshore mechanical experience required.
- Previous drilling rig experience strongly preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Current offshore safety credentials, including BOSIET/FOET/THUET and RigPass/SafeGulf, as applicable.
- Current TWIC and valid identification/passport.
- Must be able to pass all required medical, drug screening, and client onboarding requirements.
We’re looking for someone who can step onboard, work safely with the maintenance team, and immediately support the rig’s day-to-day mechanical maintenance and repair needs.
