Quality Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Specialist to support our Quality Management System and ensure compliance with industry standards. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key link between strategic quality objectives and operational execution, contributing to process improvements, maintaining accurate records, and supporting calibration and audit activities. Your expertise will help uphold the highest quality standards across our manufacturing operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with API Q1 and other applicable standards.
  • Conduct in-house calibration of Testing, Measuring, and Monitoring Devices (TMMDE), ensuring calibration is performed according to established standards and schedules.
  • Perform quality inspections at various stages of production to verify compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Analyze quality performance data, including defect rates and process capability metrics, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and assisting in the resolution of audit findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, equipment calibrations, and non-conformance reports.
  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality-control procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with quality inspectors, production teams, and operational staff to improve manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company-specific quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • CSEC certification with passes in Mathematics and English, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Comprehensive understanding of recognized industry standards such as ISO 9001 and API Q1.
  • Experience in calibration, data analysis, process improvement, compliance audits, non-conformance management, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Proficiency in quality management tools and software for data tracking and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to train and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with industry-specific regulations and standards beyond ISO 9001 and API Q1.
  • Knowledge of calibration procedures and metrology.
  • Prior experience supporting audits and managing non-conformance reports.
