USCG Shipyard Superintendent
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced USCG Shipyard Superintendent to lead ship repair projects at a prominent maritime facility. This role is critical for ensuring the successful and compliant dry docking and maintenance of Coast Guard vessels. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of USCG standards and shipyard operations, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the operational readiness of fleet assets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of dry dockings and ship repair projects in accordance with USCG and SFLC general specifications.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with Coast Guard requirements.
- Monitor progress, control costs, and manage schedules to optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure safety protocols are rigorously followed throughout all project phases.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and reports related to project status and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a ship superintendent or lead project manager with USCG dry docking projects.
- Strong knowledge of USCG regulations, SFLC specifications, and Coast Guard ship repair standards.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate diverse teams effectively.
- Experience working within the Northern California region is highly advantageous.
- Must be available to start immediately and work through the end of August.
