Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer and 1st Assistant Engineer in all engine room operations and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of the main propulsion system, auxiliary machinery, and control systems.
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain vessel safety and efficiency.
- Record and report operational data, maintenance logs, and safety reports accurately.
- Support emergency procedures and ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations.
Requirements
- Prior experience working onboard vessels, preferably in a similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of marine engine systems, including propulsion, generators, and auxiliary equipment.
