Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team, responsible for preparing and serving meals for vessel personnel. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety onboard. The Cook will plan daily menus, manage food supplies and inventory, and ensure the galley and kitchen equipment are kept clean and sanitary. This offshore position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic maritime environment, working on a 28-day rotation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals for vessel personnel in accordance with safety and hygiene standards.
  • Plan and develop daily menus that accommodate crew dietary needs.
  • Manage food supplies, inventory, and storage to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the galley and kitchen equipment at all times.
  • Follow food safety regulations, company procedures, and sanitation requirements diligently.
  • Monitor food storage conditions to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness.
  • Collaborate with crew members to meet dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and hygiene protocols during food preparation and service.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in an offshore or maritime environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to manage food supplies and inventory efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote offshore setting.
  • Flexibility to work on a 28-day rotation schedule.
