Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Engine Room Technician (EOT) to support the safe and efficient operation of vessel machinery systems. This role involves assisting with routine inspections, equipment monitoring, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable machinery performance. The ideal candidate will follow established safety procedures, collaborate with the engineering team, and maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with maritime regulations. This offshore position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to vessel operations on a 28-day rotation.
Responsibilities:
- Support the safe and efficient operation of the vessel’s engine room and machinery systems.
- Assist with routine inspections and equipment monitoring to identify potential issues early.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure machinery reliability.
- Troubleshoot machinery problems and assist in resolving operational issues promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures and maritime regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to support daily operations and maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting vessel engine room operations or similar maritime roles.
- Knowledge of routine inspections, equipment monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to assist with machinery repairs.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maritime regulations diligently.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Offshore experience is preferred, with a willingness to work on a 28-day rotation.
- Relevant certifications and licenses as required for maritime engine room roles.
