Engineering Manager – Electrical

Job Summary:
This pivotal role involves managing the planning, design, and execution of a diverse portfolio of capital projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical engineering solutions that meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset to foster continuous improvement and uphold industry standards across all projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the electrical engineering design team through all project phases, from planning to execution.
  • Ensure the timely and within-budget delivery of all electrical engineering deliverables, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with codes and standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions for a wide range of projects, from operational support to large-scale capital initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by establishing and enforcing best practices, standards, and processes.
  • Oversee engineering processes, systems, and software setup, conducting quality audits to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with procurement, construction, and operations teams to align project execution and contribute to risk assessments, design reviews, and safety initiatives.
  • Manage resource allocation, team structure, and performance evaluations to optimize effectiveness.
  • Guide project-level deliverables, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and inter-disciplinary coordination.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the engineering field, with at least 8 years managing design engineering teams on large-scale projects.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of engineering systems, design, and current engineering technologies.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and design criteria.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and organize complex projects with multiple interdependencies.
  • Ability to handle complex problem-solving tasks with high-level technical analysis.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%.
