Equipment Mechanic
Job Summary
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of heavy-duty machinery, including mobile hydraulic cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction equipment, ensuring operational readiness and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform high-level preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline-powered material handling and construction equipment such as mobile hydraulic cranes (up to 50 tons), container handlers, forklifts (4k–10k), tractors, power shovels, and road machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair MVAC systems.
- Conduct operator, intermediate, and limited major rebuilds, including spot painting.
- Provide technical guidance and training to lower-level mechanics and assist senior mechanics.
- Follow established safety, quality, and time standards to ensure all work is completed efficiently and safely.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned to support operational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four years of directly related work experience.
- Completion of a Basic Engineer Equipment Mechanics Course or equivalent.
- Completion of an MVAC course with a valid certification.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instruments.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License as necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and base access.
