Forklift Driver
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to operate a 22,000# capacity diesel forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This essential role involves moving, stacking, loading, and unloading materials, parts, and finished goods efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will play a key part in maintaining smooth material flow and supporting overall operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 22,000# capacity diesel forklift to transport materials between various locations.
- Properly load and unload customer materials, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Identify and organize materials based on size, category, and customer specifications.
- Communicate with leads and supervisors regarding material conditions that may impact production or customer satisfaction.
- Conduct visual inspections of the forklift for safety issues or mechanical problems before use.
- Follow written and oral instructions for assigned tasks, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of one to three years of experience operating a 22,000# capacity diesel forklift.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures relevant to warehouse operations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Other Requirements
- Ability to work in environments with smoke, chemical fumes, and temperature fluctuations including hot and cold conditions.
- Predominantly seated work with frequent standing, walking, stooping, reaching, bending, and forklift operation.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. with good eye-hand coordination.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Saturday.
