IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join our team and support critical networking, systems administration, cloud operations, and cybersecurity functions within a highly regulated environment. This full-time, on-site role offers an exciting opportunity to work on implementing and maintaining robust security controls, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC, and driving infrastructure stability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, maintain, and support hardware and software systems, diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, networking, and end-user support.
- Provide Tier 1–2 technical support, escalating issues as necessary to ensure operational continuity.
- Support the configuration and management of secure systems, including identity and access controls, remote access, and network security practices.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls aligned with organizational policies, supporting CMMC readiness and technical evidence collection for compliance assessments.
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems and data.
- Contribute to IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and process improvements, supporting documentation standardization and security hardening initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with IT leadership and operational teams to adapt to evolving technical and compliance requirements.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong attention to detail and proactive communication of technical issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS).
- Proven support experience in network administration, systems administration, cloud administration, and end-user support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network environments.
- Ability to support secure system configurations and operational continuity.
- U.S. work authorization and eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance are required.
- On-site availability five days per week; candidates must confirm on-site capability.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and Microsoft Azure Administrator (or equivalent) are preferred.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC compliance environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, with experience maintaining compliance records and technical documentation.
