Maintenance Porters Job Summary
Maintenance Porters play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of a facility throughout the day. Unlike evening or night janitorial staff, Maintenance Porters are responsible for maintaining the building’s cleanliness during business hours, handling quick cleaning tasks, and responding to immediate needs as they arise.
Maintenance Porters Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for facility users for cleaning and maintenance needs.
- Dust and wipe desks, tables, windowsills, etc.
- Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners.
- Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
- Report maintenance issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, or safety hazards.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, minor repairs).
- Support special cleaning or facility setup tasks as needed.
- Other duties as needed.
Maintenance Porters Position Requirements
- English/ Spanish bilingual strongly preferred.
- Prior cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional with excellent customer service skills.
- Follow health and safety guidelines.
