Restoration Technician Job Summary

Restoration Technician Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of damaged properties to identify necessary repairs and restoration work
- Apply preservation methods and techniques to restore damaged materials, such as wood, stone, and plaster
- Perform carpentry, woodworking, and other trades to repair and replace damaged components
- Work with a variety of power tools and equipment, including power saws, sanders, and drills
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Develop and implement restoration plans, including creating detailed project schedules and budgets
- Conduct regular inspections and monitoring to ensure work is completed to high standards
- Maintain accurate records and reports of work completed, including documentation of materials used and techniques employed
Restoration Technician Position Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in restoration or a related field (e.g., construction, carpentry, or historic preservation)
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and preservation standards
- Proficiency in carpentry, woodworking, and/or other relevant trades
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with power tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications
