Offshore CWI / NACE Inspector

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Offshore CWI / NACE Inspector for a short-term offshore assignment departing from Mobile, Alabama. This pivotal role involves performing comprehensive offshore welding and coating inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the project duration, which is estimated to last approximately 30–45 days. Candidates must reside in the Mobile area, as travel expenses will not be covered, and must be prepared for offshore shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct offshore welding and coating inspections in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental regulations during all inspection activities.
  • Complete and maintain accurate inspection documentation, reports, and compliance records.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve inspection issues and verify corrective actions.
  • Perform inspections related to pipelay, with previous pipelay experience strongly preferred.

Requirements:

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
  • NACE/AMPP coating inspection certification.
  • Valid Real ID, driver’s license, passport, or TWIC card.
  • Current OGUK/OEUK medical certificate.
  • OPITO-approved T-HUET with CA-EBS or BOSIET with CA-EBS.
  • TWIC card.
  • Safegulf or equivalent regulatory safety training.
  • Annual Marine Trash and Debris training completed.
  • Willingness to obtain Safegulf/equivalent and Marine Trash Training if not already certified.
  • Previous pipelay inspection experience preferred.
  • Local to Mobile, Alabama, with the ability to work offshore for 12-hour shifts.
