Welder
We are looking for a candidate for a short-term project to perform marine repair work on a vessel in Guyana.
The assignment is expected to run for approximately 2 days.
Responsibilities:
- Weld a plate onto a component of the vessel’s thruster system.
- Work must be completed to a high standard and provide a watertight weld.
- Perform welding using stick welding / SMAW techniques.
- Follow applicable site and vessel safety requirements.
- Inspect and ensure the completed weld is suitable for the intended marine application.
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with stick welding / SMAW.
- Strong welding quality and workmanship.
- Previous marine, shipyard, offshore, heavy industrial, or similar welding experience preferred.
- Ability to provide photos/examples of previous welds where available.
- Relevant welding certifications are preferred.
- Must be available for a short-term 2-day assignment in Guyana.
